The Norwegian Nurses' Association (NSF) is Norway's only nationwide trade union for licensed nurses, specialist nurses, midwives, nurses and nursing students. The organization was founded on September 24, 1912. The association is Norway's fourth largest trade union, with 115,000 members, and is a member of Unio. NSF works for the members' interests and rights related to, among other things, salary, working hours, employment and pension. In addition, efforts are being made to put the nursing profession, nursing education and the function of nurses on the agenda.
Silvija Seres, talks to the Federation Leader of the Norwegian Nurses' Association, Lill Sverresdatter Larsen. Lill went into the health profession with inspiration from the family, and an early interest in health and relationships with people. She has a master's degree in health sciences and a PhD related to collaboration in dementia care. The conversation sheds light on Norwegian health data, trust in each other and social policy.
